1) The User Experience
The user experience is key in determining whether or not someone will convert. Oftentimes, the design of your website will go hand in hand with determining your user experience. Things like color palate matter – Don’t arbitrarily put in different colors. Rather, use an established color palate and pay attention to things such as color theory. You don’t want to kill your own website by putting in different colors that contribute negatively to the overall appearance of your site. Users will also want video. Implementing Videos on your website is a good way to enhance a visitor’s user experience. At the end of the day, the key thing to remember about generating a successful user experience is to treat your users how you yourself would want to be treated.
2) Website Speed
How fast your website loads often contributes directly to how many people convert. If you make people wait too long, they’ll either grow bored and frustrated or they’ll leave. Optimizing speed is a basic part of SEO – knowing when to balance high quality images that take longer to load and web optimized images that take up minimal space is key.
3) Making your CTA Clear
If you’ve read our articles in the past, you’ll know the emphasis we put into having a call to action on each page. Having a call to action is important. Having one on each page is even more important. However, the most important component of Calls to Action are making sure that they’re clear and concise. Think of your Call to Action as a quick pitch that you would give to someone in order to try to sell a product. The average attention span of a user won’t be much longer than 30 seconds – so you have 30 seconds or less to convince that visitor to use/subscribe to your product/website.
