Hello and welcome to this week’s E-Webstyle Newsletter. Today, we’re going to be going over a few tips for SEO in our article – Increasing Visibility with SEO and Design!
Tip #1- Effective Navigation
When designing your website, it’s important for you to make it as easy as possible for your intended users to actually use your website. This translates into having a website that’s easy to navigate. A few tips for that are as follows
- Don’t hide your navigation bars
- Make all of your major pages accessible from every single page
- Functionality is oftentimes more important than style – It doesn’t matter how cool your website looks, if people can’t use it, it’s effectively useless.
Tip #2 – URL Structures
Structuring URL’s is an important part to website creation and maintenance that often gets overlooked. URL structures are important to create better visibility, which in turn streamlines the website and helps it to convert better. Creating clear and concise names that adequately describe the content found on the page will help your SEO.
One important thing to remember is to use hyphens instead of underscores.
Tip #3 – Keyword Research
Keyword Research in integral part of SEO. Knowing what keywords, phrases and topics your potential customers have researched in order to get to your actual website will allow you to create content that matches, which in turn, will allow you to provide the best possible value for your customer. If you’re big on Google, a good tool for you to possibly start using would be Google’s Keyword Planner.
