Chris Burres:               Hi and welcome to the SEO Podcast: Unknown Secrets of Internet Marketing. My name is Chris Burres, owner of E-Webstyle.

Charles Lewis:             Hi, I’m Charles Lewis, your internet marketing specialist.

Chris Burres:               Welcome back to another fun-filled edition of our podcast. This is podcast number 282.

Charles Lewis:             282.

Chris Burres:               Right after 281. It’s just feels like –

[Crosstalk]

Charles Lewis:             Before 283.

Chris Burres:               I got to tell you, I’m hungry.

Charles Lewis:             Hungry?

Chris Burres:               Two ways. I’m actually starving because I didn’t eat lunch yet.

Charles Lewis:             Me either.

Chris Burres:               It’s about 3 o’clock, 3 –

Charles Lewis:             Is it – is –

Chris Burres:               3:46.

Charles Lewis:             This is late.

Chris Burres:               So, I’m hungry. You’re hungry. I’m also hungry to do a podcast –

Charles Lewis:             I know.

[Crosstalk]

Chris Burres:               …because we missed like three weeks of doing the podcast or like, you know, you start jonesing for that, “Oh, I got to talk about SEO. There’s things happening –

Charles Lewis:             They’re still happening like –

[Crosstalk]

Chris Burres:               “…that people don’t know.”

Charles Lewis:             …there was an algorithm that happened. There was a lot going on. And just do the vacations and summertime and transitioning from school to summer and new hires and everything else. We’ve been out of pocket for a minute.

Chris Burres:               And we’re back. Alright, as always, there is a tip from our previous podcast and that tip is, “When content marketing, understand the different types of goals you have.”

Charles Lewis:             Yeah, exactly. Anytime you’re doing any form of internet marketing, in this case, content marketing, you should set a goal, right? And so, the key is or the problem most people have is that they don’t understand what that goal is. Maybe your goal is to, I don’t know, increase your social media activity. You want more followers or more likes. Or maybe your goal is to got someone down the path where they requested a free quote or a consultation.

Whatever your end goal is, make sure your content marketing speaks to that goal. It drives people down that funnel. So, if your goal is social media engagement –

Chris Burres:               Right.

Charles Lewis:             …then your content should use words like “follow us”, “like us” and highlight the benefits of being social with you guys. Or maybe your goal is a consultation or a phone call, then your content should highlight the benefits of contacting you and the reason they should do it.

Chris Burres:               Absolutely. Alright. So, that is our tip from podcast number 281. We are broadcasting live in Houston. And  please remember, we are your friendly local neighborhood top position snatchers –

Charles Lewis:             Top position snatchers.

Chris Burres:               You got it out –

[Crosstalk]

Charles Lewis:             Man, I’ve tried to –

Chris Burres:               You did –

[Crosstalk]

Charles Lewis:             Man.

Chris Burres:               You still did it actually. So, we’ve got a good article for you today. And that article is –

Charles Lewis:             Man, the Top 5 Issues Wrecking Local SEO For Multi-Location Businesses.

Chris Burres:               Ooh.

Charles Lewis:             I thought it’s interesting –

Chris Burres:               That’s important.

Charles Lewis:             Yeah –

Chris Burres:               Man.

Charles Lewis:             So, we got us a couple of new clients who have multiple locations. Punch in the face to My Shipley about to move –

[Crosstalk]

Chris Burres:               PITF.

Charles Lewis:             …they had another location.

Chris Burres:               Yup.

Charles Lewis:             And so, this article is for you guys because this is something we’ll be talking about over the next couple of weeks anyway. So, punch in the face to Marcus Miller and the guys over at Search Engine Land. We’ll dig in a little bit later.

Chris Burres:               Excellent. If you’re in a position to, you have some sort of device, you’re – probably the device you’re listening on, what you should do is tweet now. And –

Charles Lewis:             Yeah, that we –

Chris Burres:               …since we missed the podcast –

Charles Lewis:             Missed three –

Chris Burres:               …whatever. We did have a huge jump in our @BestSEOPodcast followers.

Charles Lewis:             I know –

[Crosstalk]

Charles Lewis:             …I didn’t even complete –

[Crosstalk]

Charles Lewis:             …following everybody.

Chris Burres:               Yeah, it’s like 80 or something.

Charles Lewis:             I was following for the last hour. [Laughter]

Chris Burres:               Yeah.

Charles Lewis:             And I just stopped that. I said okay, we got –

[Crosstalk]

Chris Burres:               …we are –

Charles Lewis:             …back to work.

Chris Burres:               …unleash one of our social media guys on that –

Charles Lewis:             Yeah.

Chris Burres:               …Twitter campaign and it’s a, you know, it’s working. So, if this is the first time you’ve listened to this podcast, hi. Welcome.

Charles Lewis:             Yeah.

Chris Burres:               …to our G+ local page. And we ask you to do three things –

Charles Lewis:             Two things. Two things.

Chris Burres:               Two things –

[Crosstalk]

Charles Lewis:             When you get to our G+ page –

Chris Burres:               It used to be three –

[Crosstalk]

Charles Lewis:             Used to be three, they got rid of one. So now –

Chris Burres:               Yeah.

Charles Lewis:             …first and most important, leave us that review.

Chris Burres:               Yup.

Charles Lewis:             Hopefully, that review is 5 stars.

Chris Burres:               5 stars.

Charles Lewis:             Then after you leave that review, put us in a circle. That way, we can put you in a circle or you can share some content with us, we can share some content with you.

Chris Burres:               Excellent. If you have an iTunes account, you tend to listen to iTunes account – listen to us on iTunes, then you could do us a favor. It has three steps. Go on to iTunes, step one.

Charles Lewis:             Create an account.

Chris Burres:               Step two, thank you.

Charles Lewis:             And write a review.

Chris Burres:               Step three. It’s only three steps. And we really would appreciate if you made that review 5 stars.

Charles Lewis:             5 stars.

Chris Burres:               Next, on Facebook, Facebook.com/ –

Charles Lewis:             ewebstyle.

Chris Burres:               …ewebstyle. You go there. There’s a couple of ways to write reviews. One of them is the main. I think there’s actually a review button. Write a review.  Make it –

Charles Lewis:             Yeah, put it on our wall –

Chris Burres:               …5 stars –

[0:05:00]

[Crosstalk]

Chris Burres:               And then there’s also like an app over on the –

[Crosstalk]

Chris Burres:               …left. So, you can find that. And put it there. Don’t use that one. In fact, we should take it off. We will take it off. And finally, this is actually – we should have it first. It’s preferred now. Stitcher.

Charles Lewis:             Yeah.

Chris Burres:               The easiest way to get to our Stitcher – that – our podcast page on Stitcher is to go to our website, e-webstyle.com. And over on the right bar, you will see a Stitcher. Click there. Click “Write a review” and again, make it 5 stars.

Charles Lewis:             5 stars.

Charles Lewis:             Yes.

Chris Burres:               And you can do that all sorts of ways. One of them is Facebook.com/ –

Charles Lewis:             ewebstyle.

Chris Burres:               And finally, Instagram.com/ –

Charles Lewis:             ewebstyle.

Chris Burres:               I almost forgot that one, did you notice?

Charles Lewis:             Yeah, I was waiting. Listening while patiently waiting for that –

[Crosstalk]

Chris Burres:               [Laughter]

Charles Lewis:             …like sort of four profile. [Laughter]
